journey

more about me

Before I plunged into the world of coding, my main passion was learning foreign languages. Coincidence? I think not ^^. Both fields reward similar traits: patience, persistence in tracking down errors, habitual pattern-seeking, and integrating new bits of knowledge into logical systems that quickly become second nature... But let's get back to the topic.

As a certified linguist, I specialized in translations into English. My portfolio included academic papers, legal documents, marketing & educational materials, press releases... you name it. After my second degree—in Japanese studies—I also started collaborating with three publishing houses that release Asian authors. This resulted in successful literary translations from Japanese published on the Polish market:

The list is quite eclectic, including fine literature, children's books, and comics (over 50 volumes in total!). But for me, Asia is also the place of extraordinary adventures such as the year I spent studying at Doshisha University in Kyoto, six months working at a Chinese middle school, and a month-long workation in Vietnam. And although I've been putting all my energy into exploring the intricacies of programming for the past four years, Far Eastern topics are still close to my heart. Whether I'm tuning into Japanese podcasts or brushing up on my basic Chinese, I find a special harmony everywhere there—a peaceful rhythm that makes life more enjoyable.
